Software Tech Lead for SMF
Job description:
We are currently seeking senior software engineers for development of our SMF (Secure Media Framework) components, primarily based on PC or mobile platform using C, C++ and/or Java/C# development languages. Our ideal candidate should have a strong technical background and rich experience in software development, and he will focus on the technical aspects associated with the successful deliverables of a software engineering team. The role is required to provide architectural and technical guidance to product development, ensuring that sound engineering design, process, safety and security practices are followed. The role will be responsible for technical decision and hands on software development, and providing solution to resolve critical/complex technical issues.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Work with our product development team to create, enhance, and deploy our cutting edge content security systems
• Develop and implement software products and libraries following software specifications and an architecture roadmap by performing C/C++ coding
• Lead developing our advanced software security SMF products, which includes multiple client operating systems
• Responsible for requirement analysis, architecture design, implementation and testing.
• Integrate our product into customers’ products, including PC and other consumer electronic devices
• Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with team members and people cross-teams
• Promote creative design solution and IP opportunities.
• Develop a compelling technical vision for the team
• Critical problem management and technical escalation path
• Mentoring and training team members from technical perspective.
• Work with solution architect or product manager on the product backlog
• Be responsible for the breakdown of tasks from the product backlog, including working closely with the scrum master on task breakdown, assignments, tracking and reporting
• Ensure right task assigned to right people
• With the support from line manager, create and implement development, tools and test process
• Be prepared to travel and visit customers
• Provide accurate performance feedback of team members to line managers
• Lead and mentor team members on required technology

Required skill:
• Bachelor’s degree of Computer Science, Software/Electrical Engineering, or related technical degree or equivalent experience, Master degree preferred.
• 10 Years of hands-on software development experience on above mentioned technologies.
• Strong product development and engineering skill.
• Extensive knowledge and experience of C, C++ and/or Java/C#.
• Understanding of all phases of the software development life cycle.
• Experienced in requirement analysis, architecture design for a complex development project.
• Ability to function effectively in a team environment.
• Experience with HTTP and XML.
• Knowledge and experience in build environment and tool, such as CVS, TFS and bug tracking tools.
• Multimedia programming experience
• Strong problem solving skills and an ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment
• Experience gained in the field of Cryptography, including use thereof in Digital Rights Management Systems
• Cross platform development on Windows, Linux, Mac OS
• Experience with Media player technologies, DTCP-IP, and PlayReady a plus
• A background relating to any of the following technologies: audio/video and other media technologies, Digital Rights Management (DRM), encryption and security, DLNA, UPnP
• Experience with media software development on desktop platforms. Familiar with Gstreemer as a plus.
• Consumer electronic device development and integration experience
• Good understanding of Client/Server architectures
• Experience in an Agile development environment, including Scrum, XP, etc.
