Role description
We are currently seeking a technical writer who would be responsible for the creation of electronic documentation relating to the existing and new products of our CA system.
Primary responsibilities
• Creation of User manuals
• Creation of installation manuals
• Creation of Product descriptions.
Additional responsibilities
 Manage own time.
Interfaces and Authority
 System Architecture - discuss details on the system design documentation
 Technical Lead - discuss details on the component designs
 Program manager - progress on documentation being created
 Product Management - agreement on the technical product descriptions.
 Software Engineers - discussion on the implementation especially regarding the GUI.
 Quality department - signing off and agreeing on releasing documents.
Knowledge & Skill requirements
Technical
 Native speaker from an English-speaking country.
 Able to read Chinese and do translation from Chinese to English.
 Min 2 years experience in IT related industry.
 Min 3 years experience with Microsoft Office.
 Min 2 years experience with Flare or RoboHelp.
 Working knowledge of XML and Microsoft conventions for the design of user interfaces.
 Working knowledge of some image software.
 Knowledge of some or all of the following will be advantageous
o MPEG2, DVB
o CA systems
