2. Create, program, and test video stream analysis tools as module for video surveillance
system in Linux environment.
3. Research and utilize existing scientific research and optimized image processing libraries,
such as Intel OpenCV. Combine, fine tune, and modify as needed existing algorithms for
image processing to achieve reliable extraction of moving objects in real time.
4. Analyze objects’ attributes and motion to perform proactive triggering of system response to
potential threats.
5. Initial SW include such items as self-tuning adaptive motion object-based detection optimized
for multiple moving objects and outdoor conditions, ‘museum mode’, ‘left luggage’, ‘counterdirection
movement’, ‘no parking zone violation’, ‘loitering’, and other.
6. Next phase of development will include tools requiring classification of the detected objects,
such as hand-over of the tracked person between multiple cameras; track, zoom and hold
with a motorized (PTZ) camera. Develop and optimize code for real-time processing of video
stream provided by surveillance system, with an emphasis on low false alarm rate.
b7. Create web-based user configuration interface, utilizing XML data exchange standards. Set
up reasonable development schedule and keep up to it.

Required Knowledge & Skills of the team:
1. Active scientific background in image / video processing
2. Strong C/C++ programming skills
3. Working understanding of Linux development environment (GCC 3.2)
4. Hands-on experience in developing commercial-grade software applications and modules.
5. At least one real project in image / video processing area.
6. Understanding of software development cycle and methods
7. Testing and fine-tuning multi-parameter algorithms and applications
8. Ability to grasp technical information quickly with proven track record in logical problem
solving techniques to find solutions independently
9. Team lead must have good communication skill in English for effective daily communication
with the California team
Desired Knowledge & Skills of the team:
1. Understanding of the XML and SOAP structured data exchange standards
2. Simple HTML and JavaScript web interface development
